People Data Systems System Requirements

In order to install and operate the PDS software successfully, your personal computer (PC) system must meet the following hardware and operating system requirements:

Stand-Alone / Client Computer:

• Minimum Intel or AMD 1.08GHz processor or equivalent,
  Recommend 2.1(+) GHz system or higher for optimum performance of the software.
• Microsoft Windows XP Pro, 2003, Vista or 7 Business Operating System
  (Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows 2000 are not supported).
• Minimum 512 MB of RAM (memory),
  Additional RAM will significantly improve several components of the PDS software.
• Minimum 500 MB available hard-disk space,
  Recommend 2 GB+ for image storage, improved performance and database growth.
• Minimum 800 x 600 16bit Color display,
  Recommend 1024 x 768 High Color (16bit) SVGA display (or better) for optimal display.
• Minimum CD-ROM Drive,
  Recommend DVD-R/CD-RW Drive for data backups and transfer.
• Compatible system mouse or pointing device.
  

Server Computer :

• Minimum Intel or AMD 2.0 GHz processor or equivalent,
  Recommend 2.8(+) GHz or multi-processor server system or better for optimum performance of
  the database engine.
• Microsoft Window XP or Windows 2003 Operating System
  (Windows ME, 98 and Windows 2000 are not supported for servers).
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 (Desktop Engine, Standard, or Enterprise)
• Minimum 512 MB of RAM (memory),
  Additional RAM will significantly improve database performance.
• Minimum 4 GB available hard-disk space for data and backups,
  Recommend 10GB+ for image storage, improved performance and database growth.
• Minimum CD-ROM Drive for software installation,
  Recommend DVD-R/CD-RW Drive for data backups and transfer.
